The SWM RS500 is an extremely versatile motorcycle with incredible potential, and with an MSRP thousands of dollars lower than its competition, its owner will have some extra money leftover than can go to smart mods and fun adventures. To prove it, we gave SWM Brand Ambassador Jubal Brown a lightly-used 2020 RS500 demo bike to play with for 2021. Jubal will be creating some simple grass-roots Vlogs for us over the next 12 months or so as he puts the RS through its paces at dual sport rides, enduro races, high-mountain single track, and more!

Jubal removes the oversize 5 gallon tank and installs the stock fuel tank for some trail riding in Arizona. He also takes you step-by-step through a number of mods designed to lower the operating temperature of the SWM RS500, including installing an adjustable digital thermostat, swapping radiator caps to a higher-pressure unit, and comparing the boiling points of some popular aftermarket coolants.
